What are the risks?
The scanning perfomed by 3D equipment is the same type and intensity as currently being used within a medical office for 2D ultrasounds. There is no medical evidence to indicate that ultrasounds will harm the unborn baby, but you should consult with your physician if you have any questions.
Do I need an appointment?
We accept clients on an appointment basis. We recommend that you book early to ensure you are able to receive our services at the ideal time in your pregnancy.
When is the best time to recieve a 3D ultrasound?
Ultrasounds are recommended between the 25th and 34th week.
Who can I bring?
See Your Baby encourages clients to bring their family and friends. This is a wonderful bonding experience for everyone to take part in. We encourage you to contact us to help you decide the best number of guests to bring, which is based on seating availablity in our facility.
Can you determine my baby's gender?
Yes, gender determination is available at our facility. The sex is best determined after 25 weeks. Gender determination is not 100 % accurate, as with any ultrasound imaging, but accuracy does improve using the 3D images. One needs to consider that other factors may affect gender determination, which includes the baby's position, amniotic fluid levels, the location of the umbilical cord as well as the mothers body type.
Gender determination is optional and is not mandatory.
Who will be performing the 3D ultrasound?
